Information collected

MAXimatician.com is dedicated to quality, on-line tutoring, and therefore must rely on collecting some personal information from its students/clients in order to facilitate its services. (The term student/client may also be referred to as “you” or “your”, while acknowledging that they may not be the same person.) This information is necessary for the instructor to contact you as needed, or for your purchase of the products/services. This may include name, address, email address, phone numbers, and credit card billing information.

In addition, MAXimatician.com may require that the student take a diagnostic pre-test prior to Interactive Tutoring. This provides the instructor with useful information for tailoring the sessions specific to the student.

Log Data

Like many website operators, MAXimatician.com may collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit the site. This “Log Data” may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our site you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics. MAXimatician.com may use third party services, such as Google Analytics, that collect, monitor, and analyze this data.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. These cookies are used to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies, or indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies you may not be able to use some portions of a site.

Communications

The on-line sessions from MAXimatician.com will be conducted through the privacy of your own computer through an interactive whiteboard. It is not necessary that these sessions require “face-to-face” communication (such as through Skype), and this would be included only at your request.

It is not the intent of MAXimatician.com to continue sending former students/clients newsletters, or promotional information, unless specifically requested.

Security

MAXimatician.com will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. In addition, any information regarding a student’s progress in the tutoring program will be strictly confidential, and will not be shared with anyone other than the client, if the client and the student are not the same person.

While the privacy of your personal information is important, please recognize that no transmission over the Internet, or electronic storage, may be 100% secure.

Changes to Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is effective as of January 6, 2016. MAXimatician.com reserves the right to change the policy, and any modifications will result in an update of the published effective date on this page.
